Seatbelts do save lives. my heartfelt condolences to the people involved. but if any of you read the report, it clearly mentions that the driver was making AN U-TURN on a 2 LANE highway from RIGHT SHOULDER. NO OFFENSE... that was clearly a suicidal act. moving towards the shoulder and then trying to MAKE a u turn on a 2 lane highway. [ one should know either make a U TURN from left lane and get to the right shoulder of the other side. or exit and enter again in NORTHBOUND (in their case)]. one is vulnerable from traffic following you as well as coming towards u on the opposite side. [ clearly .. it was a foolish act. ] =====================================================
