Kantipur TV is the only television bussiness that is running in huge loss. all the co- owners of ktv, the russian business tycoons like jiwa lamichane and upendra mahato who invested crores of rupees to establish ktv, ran away from ktv because of the attitude of other bosses and the loss ktv is in right now. ktv will never go on satelite because it never gets license. other channels however, like nepal 1 tv, channel nepal can be seen in lot of countries around the world. ktv has license for kanthmandu only.Though kantipur boasts itself as being the pioneer media house in nepal, i think it is the only tv station who runs on chamchagiri and natawaad. other television station like channel nepal and image channel is doing much much better than ktv. as said by a person who is working in KTV.
