Newsletter Week 9 Week 9 for the first time saw new teams at the top as well at the bottom of the standing. iNcoGnIto_KaNChi secured a very much deserving top position with a convincing over former leader hukka_nepali. On the contrary, hoop2hoop has become the new team at the bottom of the standing by losing the series against KTM_Wolves, who previously held that spot. Week 9 also saw some "mid-size" trades and pickups from free agency. Listed below are few notable ones: C. Mobley traded from Lakers4ever to Bandipure Newaz for T. Murphy. This trade made sense for both team as their numbers were virtually the same. Murphy will give Lakers4ever much needed rebounding help and Mobley should help Bandipure Newaz fill up SG position which he desperately need. Murphy's production should continue to be the same, where as Mobley's might go down in the near future after the return of C. Maggette in the Clippers lineup. M. Finley was traded from KTM_Wolves to hukka_nepali for A. Walker. This was the first deal made by KTM_Wolves, which should be look as a healthy sign by the managers trying to lift his team which has been at the bottom of the standing much of the season. Players involved in the trade are role players from two of the top teams in the league. It has the potential to be beneficial for both teams involved in the trade, but should this be a bust deal, it is not going to break your season. More teams should be looking to make trades of such kind as it gives you something new and different look to your lineup and make it more fun to be a part of. From The Free Agency: A. Stoudemire was picked up by Bandipure Newaz in a move that caught everyone by surprise and discomfort. Although Stoudemire is close to 2 months away from playing, it was a great pick up nevertheless. One problem, Bandipure's roster already had 2 injured players, M. Camby and C. Boozer. Going 3 men down for more than a month could be digging a hole too deep to overcome. D. Miles was picked up by Kathmandu Hammers in another unpredictable move. Miles was having a career season before being injured. It is doubtful the Blazers are in any kind of rush to bring Miles back to their roster. This pick up isn't as deadly of a move as one made by Newaz earlier but it will impact in winning a close game vs. losing it. T. Battie was picked up by HandigaonJatras. Battie is have a solid season and any managers in need of a Center should have locked him up a long time ago. Great addition by HandigaonJatras. Ke. Thomas was picked up by hukka_nepali. Sac lost S. Abdur-Rahim to injury which would mean more minutes and starting position for Thomas. First game as a starter, he scored 28 points in 38 minutes. Should be productive pick up for short period of time. TOP 5 TEAMS OF THE WEEK 5. Flash This is the team to look out for as we go deeper into the season. Return of Shaq has helped Wade, as his numbers continue to go up. Injury prone Carter has not showed any sign of slowdown. Griffin has been a pleasent surprise since being in the Timberwolves starting lineup. Unless hit by major injury bug, I expect this team to be making a serious push for a playoff spot by the end of season. 4. HandigaonJatras A tough win against one of the better teams of the league so far, KTM Hammers. Although Jatras didn't win the big category like points, rebounds, and assists, he shows that you can still win if you have a balanced team. This team has been consistent for the most part of the season, and I expect it to do so in the coming weeks ahead. Pick up of S. Jasikevicius & T. Battie along with healthy E. Boykins, M. Ginobili, and E. Okafor is going to give team that boost to compete for top 3 teams by the end of the season. 3. Nepali Celtics He is doing a lot less talking these days and letting the records speak for themsleves. After starting the season with a lot of injury problems, with much patience and calcuated moves he was able to climb up the standing ladder. A great 8-1 win last week against Newaz. With always so versatile Garnett and with players like Davis & Okur having a career season, I expect this team to be competing for the No.1 spot when it's all said and done. Still worried about Maggette & Stojakovic and their ongoing injuries but this team is experienced enough to overcome such advertises. 2. KG4MVP Only .5 games differentiating between him and the top team in the league, so could very well argue for being the best team in the league. Great win last week againt up and coming Lazimpat Kings. Less minutes by A. Mourning & J. Przybilla has hurt this team a little but MVP type season by G. Arenas and solid performance so far by Webber and Parker has made this team very consistent over the past several weeks. Should be right there as far as standing goes by the end of the season. 1. iNcoGnIto_KaNChi What a win it was for her team!! Beating former No. 1 with a convincing 7-1-1 score. One of the most balanced roster in the league. Anyone who thought why was S. Marion O-ranked no.3, now knows why he is currently ranked no.1. Staying injury free most of the season has helped along with calculated moves made during the season. I expect this team to hold off the no.1 spot for the weeks ahead. FOOT NOTES KTM_Wolves won last week that moved him from 12 to 9th spot. Matchup up of the week for Week 10: HandigaonJatras Vs. Lazimpat Kings
