Thanks everyone. For family reasons, I am compelled to get married within the next few months, otherwise I would wait for my US citizenship. Btw, how quick - from the date of filing a petition - can one bring his/her spouse once he/she becomes a US citizen? Can anyone give me a rough estimate. Dalli, the fiancee visa sounds interesting. Once she gets a fiancee visa, will she be able to work in the US? How long after she arrives in the US can she get a green card? Oh and could you explain about the '4-6 months for all the paperworks' you mentioned? Will it be helpful if she comes as a regular F-1 student and then we get married here in the US? How long before she can get a greencard that way? Thanks again.
