Ha, sweet....everyone already has access to a free listen to the latest songs and i see p2p as an enabling of this apparently acceptable access. There has been no conclusive evidence showing that p2p has negatively impacted the recording industry. Our entire library system is based upon the idea that even though you must pay someone to have your own copy of a work, be it a book, music, etc, everyone can access any of these works for free. I think libraries are a good thing. I think most people would agree with me. To me, p2p is evidence that people want all content that can be represented digitally availible in a large online library. I think this is a great thing. The fact the cd's are still bought even though you can download almost any music online seems to point to the fact that people will still support the creation of music by purchasing their own copy. Reselling music you do not own the rights to is, and perhaps should be, a crime. a system that allows everyone access to information in any form should not be criminal.
