Btw, I was about to start the book by Chinua Achebe but I found this another interesting book by Jhumpa Lahiri called "the namesake". I think i will read that first. Ladyinred, Thanks for your wonderful suggestions but I am not much into sci-fi books. I like books that talk about history and different social issues. I read this book called "A small place" by Jamaica Kincaid. I loved that book. But anyways, I will suggest your books to someone who's into sci-fi.
