Well, unless you've become unwantedly pregnant yourself, or have seen a loved one in such a situation, it may be difficult for you to fully see why abortion should be allowed. I assume the frowning interviewees were mostly young and unmarried Nepali ladies, who probably never had sex, let alone be in a position to need an abortion! I don't think socio-cultural preconditions are there yet for abortion to be publicly welcome in Nepal? Just a thought...
