Mr. Shrestha, First of all, please do not claim to speak for all Nepalese living in U.S, Europe and Australia becuase you cannot claim to know what hundreds of thousands of Nepalese think about the position taken by the U.N vis-a-vis the situation in Nepal. Secondly, your letter--as it is currently framed, has a dire lack of logic. You obviosulyhave an issue with the fact that the U.N has welcomed the new agenda put forth by the Maoists and the Politicians - in your mind, the "two evils" as you claim but what of the Monarchy? You very conveniently forget the fact that as corrupt as the political parties are and have been in the past, the Monarchy and people affiliated with them have not been far behind. The repression of the Monarchy and the ongoing conflict that has left thousands dead must come to an end - either with the intervention of the U.N or without - your letter fails to make any points as to an alternate solution and why that solution would be a better one than the one we have at present. Again, write a letter to Mr. Anan if you wish, but please bear in mind that there are many people - my self included that happen to think that this latest nexus between the parties and the Maists might be the chance for peace that has evaded Nepal for the last 10 years--speak for yourself if you must Mr. Shrestha, please do not be the self appointed spokesperson for all Nepalese in three continents--(by the way, what about Nepalese in Asia, South Asia and Africa - why were they so uncremoniously left out from your letter?)
