I think this would be a good place to post my problem too... Hey, I had a problem with my Windows XP professional. XP was running very very very slow, CTRL+ALT+DEL stopped working...nothing happened when I pressed CTRL+ALT+DEL. And all the programs were real slow. So I decided to format the drive. Before formatting I tried copying some of my music files frm hard drive to my external HD....but some files wont copy. said some file ending error or smthin like that. So I tried formatting the drive, but it took me forever to format it....it actually took the machine 2 whole days and nights to format it....tried installing XP on it....gave errors while installing some files...but finally it did...but wont load....gives a checksum error....I thought maybe my harddrive is bad...so I boot the computer through a DSL (Damn Small Linux) boot CD.....and tried accessing the hard-drive....I can see the windows files and everything on the hard disk....but when I try to delete them, it says read only drive. So, what do you guys think??? is it the hard-drive?? or is it smthing else?? The reason Im asking this is this is my second hard drive in 3 months that did the same thing. I had XP running an IIS on it....the first one that I had, gave problem since i activated the IIS....so was thinking could it be the IIS server??? but I have a linux server hooked to the same router that has some websites hosted on it....never had any problems with that!!!( incase if you think its some hackers)..!!! Lemme know what you think??? Thanks DC_VIRUS
