Susta residents flee homes following the encroachment of their lands by India Residents of Susta, Nawalparasi, who were displaced from hearth and home following the encroachment of their lands by India, have approached the Zonal Administration Office (ZAO) seeking justice, The Kathmandu Post. Some 28 men and women from Susta arrived here by tractor. They had fled on Thursday after two days in captivity by the Indian army. They made their way to the ZAO after the local administration cold shouldered them. Gopal Gurung, president of the "Susta Bachao" (save Susta) campaign, said the Indian army rounded up Munib Chamar and another local man without any reason, fuelling panic in the village. " An estimated 500 Indian nationals and over 300 Indian soldiers have captured our place - Susta," Gurung added.
