Sitara, You seem to have generated quite a fan following around these parts :-) ..your piece was a very good one though and although I am sure you have much to do, I hope we get to see more of your prose within these cyber halls. I wanted to pop back in and pick up on the Zadie Smith conversation that Sandhurst, you and I had a while back. It took me longer than I expected (what with this blasted thing called Law School messing up my quiet reverie with "On Beauty") but I did manage to finally finsh the book and I highly recommend it. It isn't too much of a departure from white Teeth in that the underlying theme is still about race and the tensions it brings; less humour than that of White teeth nevertheless it is a very good read and quite funny. I tend to pop in and out of Sajha time permitting--now with exams fast approaching I will probably learn from the example set by Dick Cheney and burrow in my own "undisclosed location" :-) but I do hope to catch your posts.
