Gather some photos of your family, mother, father, siblings. Also get some pictures of your closest friends. Dont forget to get everyone's phone number. Try to read about adjustment issues in the USA. You university here should be able provide you with issues related to adjustment, opening a bank account, fast food, relationships with your American friends. One of the issues a Nepali friend of mine asked was "how do I know if someone likes me, or if they are just being nice for the moment"? Bring a birth certificate, marriage license, campus transcripts, citizenship report from your school. I would suggest that you do not buy new clothes in Nepal before you come. They may soon appear out of style when you get here. Also, expect to lose some weight if you are a guy, and expect to gain some weight if you are a girl. Therefore new clothes will not fit soon after your arrival. Buy clothes here, you can get them cheaply at some discount stores like Goodwill, Salvation Army. They often have new unused clothing and they are very inexpensive. $2.50 for a shirt, $4 for trousers.
