I don't buy the notion that winning the championship means they are the best team. It's all about the match up between different teams. YES, Yankees would have beaten same old mediocre ChiSox if they were to play in ALDS. Yankees have better BA, RBI, HR, and OBP. I don't call myself Sabermetricians :p but here??s why I thought (and still do) they are mediocre team, it??s called Baseball Pythagorean formula. Feel free to search yourself :p and here??s few more abbreviation to familiarize OPS, VORP, RISP, and RS. If you can??t come up with the solid reason to back up your statement, I don??t think I am going to buy it. Only Championship word won??t cut it out with me. Ball is in your court.
