Let Us Not Allow the Brutal Royal Regime Survive on Our Hard Earned Money

Bathroom sir, I bet there wouldn't be such a fun in sajha if there were no talks and only actions. Otherwise there wouldn't be all these fuggin fuggers to amuse you and eventually us, haina ta? ;) On to the topic itself, Paribartan's appeal on behalf of Canadian Network for Democratic Nepal (CNDN) is rhetorical but it hardly serves the purpose of its articulation. He is guided by the misconception that Gyanendra's regime will be crippled if we don't send our earnings to our kins back home. He has plenty of wealth to fund for his autocratic enterprise already.Rather families dependent on their member(s) working abroad will suffer if they are not remitted. The truth is dictators will cherish if people's living standard deteriorates and the economy crumbles, as it is lot easier to enforce command on weaker people. These are not Nalapani times. You got to win people's support to defeat dictators. For that, pro-democratic people and alliances should expose to the public the potentially dangerous consequences of allowing a dictatorship to set its foothold in power. See how people could not effectively oppose Gyanendra immidiately after Feb 1 and as a result how he has stamped his authority over the state's affairs in a matter of less than a year? See how he has enforced medieval regulations to thwart private sector media and curtail informations to the people ? And imagine what will he do if he is allowed to stay in power for more years? Its high time for the pro-democratic alliances to change themselves according to the public expectations and win people's heart so that they can be dragged to the streets for a mass revolt against dictatorship. How about strengthening the mass rather? How about sponsoring the civil society for carrying awareness programmes against the dictatorship? How about asking your family members to get on to the streets against the autocrat? How about disobeying draconian rules and giving tough times to authorities that try to impose restrictions against them? There is an emergency to stop the dictator. The only way to stop is to bring hundreds of thousands of people in streets in defiance of the regime. This can happen not by imposing economic sanctions to your own family but by asking them to defy every moves of the dictator. Ask your brothers and sisters to attend peaceful protests. Tell your family to turn off the sate owned radio and TV, not to buy Gorkhapatra, not to listen to the speech of Gyanendra and his ministers, not to assemble where their henchmen gather, not to trust what they say, not to follow their directives that are against individual liberties, not to buy goods and services from businesses owned by Gyanendra, his relatives, aides and associates. Tell your kins in the government offices to defy unlawful minisiterial orders. Tell them to wear black armbands while at work. Tell people not to vacate the streets when the blood thirsty dictator's family roams around in Kathmandu. Just don't let them do 'manpari'. Defy Gyane's regime massively and collectively. He will eventually succumb.
