I have watched portions of Joseph Campbell's interview based upon his book "The Power Of Myth" with Bill Moyers few years back.It wasn't until summer of 2003 that I closely paid attention to eastern philosophy which I found fascinating.Then I discovered Wayne Dyer and his self-help techniques based on the teaching of "The Bhagavad Gita" and "The Dhammapada".My limited knowledge about Campbell tells me he is a storyteller.Correct me if I am wrong.Dyer on the other hand is more like a philosopher a reincarnation of Thoreau or Emerson the source of inspirations for Gandhi.Isn't it funny how we easterners find inspirations in westerners that too on the subject of Gita and Buddhism. I will certainly check out "The Masks of God".But not until I begin and end reading Walden by Thoreau which is next in my list.
