NLN Correspondent, KATHMANDU: Renowned model and actress attempted suicide on Saturday. Pooja Lama, who is also a member of the all-girl pop group Dream Girls, tried to kill herself by overdosing sleeping pills at her own residence in Samakhusi. She was taken to the Bir Hospital and admitted to the Intensive Care Unit. The doctors said Lama had taken 18 tablets of Paracitamol tablets and an undisclosed amount of sleeping pills. She was having some problems with her love life for the past few days, which might have prompted her in taking such steps. She is undergoing treatment at the hospital and is out of danger, her brother Shiva informed. Originally from Darjeeling of India, Lama appeared on commercials for Swastik Tea, Western Union Money Transfer, Kodak, Coca Cola and others.
