I hear, they do produce some good plays in Kathmandu nowadays with the Gurukul theatre as the premier locus blazing the trail. Shakespeare, Ibsen, Beckett and Greek classics. I regret not going to any of the productions whilst I was there last in January. I read elsewhere that Naseruddin Shah was in Kathmandu some time ago to star in a play based on Bernard Shaw; he apparently played Shaw and his wife, Stella Campbell - Shaw's muse whom he wrote 'Pygmalion' for.
