Well, isn't it said that it's better to light a candle than curse the darkness? It's exactly the thing we need to do in this desperate times. There is not a shred of doubt in my mind that democracy is the best form of government. But, like any good things it really has to go through times of troubles. Now, that it's been proven that the political parties just has their eye on power and has been embroiled in corruption doesn't mean that democracy is "not suitable" for Nepal altogether. Please bear in mind, that democracy is a filter in it-self. Just look at our neighbouring friend India. Isn't there corruption in India and politicized in most field of work? But, isn't it getting better- with people being concious of their right and opening up about things they feel isn't worth? If our King seizes up the country is there any guarantee that our country will be Switzerland? What make a country developed is infact the awarenss and level of maturity of people not finding solutions through guns. Also, now that the political parties have lost their charm among the people they are kneeling down in front of the Nepalese mass asking them to come to their "sadak andolan". But, do the layman care? Who cares anyway? See what I mean.........democracy is really a form of government were people can excercise their rights and can have different faith. If King Gyanendra is the all in all ruler what would happen to the those who make a slightest protest against any "wrong-doing" from the government? Shot, hanged or tortured.............with out others knowing where you are???????????
