Gagan Thapa, Is he real?

Well, I never went to Trichandra College, but I kept on hearing about Gagan Thapa. My friends would talk about him. Some knew him by person, others had friends who knew him. This was few months back, I opened a news site and found he was arrested for protesting against the royal regime. I had no opinion about that at the particular time. Then, few days back, I opened sajha.com and found that he was going to speak for students at Harvard. I said wow! Cool! Man, is the guy real? Or, he is just a regular student politician, the regular and ample type. If he is real, I would be very happy myself, and its very good for all of us. He needs to get more exposure and platform to engage in nepalese politics. But, if he is the stereo-type, oopportunistic vulture like most of the nepalese leaders, we should stop giving him a platform to talk. If he wants to represent us and our people, he would have to omit few spots from the past. Ofcourse, there were rumors about him. May be they are not all true. May be nothing said is right. But, I have a very honest feeling that we should stop supporting all fake leaders out there, and any one who wants to lead us should pass a litmus test so that we don't end up having same kind of leaders always. I would very much appreciate further discussion in this topic. No harm was intended while I wrote this entry.
