i have experienced this.when i first came to US i was having lot of problems coz of finances and also with my school.although i know many people, no one came to help..i had to fight for myself.which in a way was good coz now i know who my real friends are. the attitude of nepali after coming to US, especially if they are well settled, is like that of our present king.they don't care if anyone is asking for help or if anyone is in trouble.they just want to enjoy their american life. for all the people who have just arrived to US it is better to understand that u are on ur own and there is no one to help u.it is much easier that way.atleast u won't have any false sense of security.
