Gagan Thapa & Gyanendra

I find similarities between Gagan Thapa blind supporters and Gyanendra blind supporters. Both the followers have kind of a fan mentality, and their belief and trust in these leaders does not come from reason and logic but pure romanticism. Both supporters do not know how these two highly talented individuals can solve the problems of Nepal, but they believe these guys have a magic wand. I can see Gyanendra fanatisism is waning pretty drastically, I wonder how long it will take for his counterpart. The more Gyane suppresses, better opportunity for Gagan to rise. But I am not convinced that Gagan has the substance to be the leader. Getting arrested few times by the Government, and a fugitive documentary can make an interesting personality, bring 15 minutes of fame, but to be leader, one needs a whole lot more. As someone said before, a good leader is always liberal in thinking, and considerate in other political ideology. I hope Gagan Thapa, develops this mentality and develops through coming years. If he steps into the footsteps of Sher Bdr, or Ram Chandra Poudel or his protege Girija, he will not have a big place in the history of Nepal.
