unkown, I am surprised that you just compared their offensive start. MVP is given to the best player in their league. The reason he is not in the field whole game is that he is not a good athlete. No doubt he is a great hitter and could be the most clutch player now. AROD and Ortiz have almost similar stats on the entire offense category. AROD should get the hardware because he is the best player in the AL. It should not matter if Yankees makes it or not to the playoff. AROD won the MVP playing for Rangers, the team that was last in the AL West. Gold Glove is given to a player for his fielding not for the offense?.. MVP should come in an entire package ;) For me, Manny, Varitek and Damon seem to be more valuable player than Ortiz. and what is wrong with White Sox???
