As for picture, regard it as a picture of thousands Murari Rajs, I would say rather a step ahead of Murari-jee (in terms of pro-republican determination), marching in Kathmandu for democracy. *** *** *** *** Citizen's movement is a rebellion against political parties Citizen's movement for democracy is essentially a rebellion against political parties. An unarmed, peaceful, polite and soft rebellion against political parties' failure to unambiguously commit to the fight for full democracy in the country and within the parties themselves. This rebellion is starting to show it's effect. The rebellion should continue, which is basically not let the citizen's movement to integrate into political parties' agitations until the parties come up with new leadership and believable determination for Loktantra. Active apathy to political parties' ambiguous slogans, disrespect to their old and inept leadership and non-solidarity to their aimless routine agitations on one hand and regular and independent program of citizen's own movement on the other are how it should go. And it indeed is going this way on. I am actually disappointed with Murari-jee's speech at NY Rally. My disappointment is for it's failure to recognize the subtle yet rebellious character of Citizen's movement and it's significance in democratizing (both at ideological and organizational level) democracy-challenged political parties of Nepal I talked about above.
