SU30s are famous for "cobra", which means, the aircraft can, for a short moment of time, fly in the perfect horizontal direction while its fuselage lies truly vertical (nose up and tail down, like ppl walking). It remains quite beyond the comprehension of western aircraft designers. Surprisingly, even the Russian Army possess a lower version (SU-27, i guess) or they have not publicized it. Another variant of SU-30 is owned by the Chinese Army, however, is not as powerful as the Indian version. Interestingly, in a joint exercise with the Indian Army last year, the Pentagon assessed that the chance of survival of an F-15Eagle (the most agile fighter plane of the west) is only 1/10 which means that for 9 out of 10 cases, the SU30MKI would wield over any any other fighter plane given the level of pilot-intelligence remains comparable.
