*** *** *** *** Raybati, As they say, if you are not a part of the solution, then you are a part of the problem. Your blanket negativism is no better than the very thing you are negative about. Look at the picture below. This was the first civic meeting in Kathmandu where 10-15,000 people brought political leaders not to listen to their bull shit but to tell them what bull shit they have been talking all this time. Civic leaders, artists and poets spat right on the face of political leaders by their criticism and satire on their kartoot and all that. This kind of pressure has started to show it's effects. Political parties are changing. They have made tremendous progress on getting rid of their ambiguity about democracy. There are a lot of other thing they are fumbling. But if the civil society can keep the pressure on, it will surely hasten the process of party's reforms. And NY rally is, as I said, Diaspora's equivalent of a rally of Citizen's movement in Nepal. And you are totally negative about it. What's your suggestion for us to do better ? Citizen's meeting at Baneswar August 5, 2005
