Maybe you guys are confused OR i am mistaken. Lsu Played Oklahoma for the official BCS championship game. LSU beat OU. THen there was a controversy about USC being left out of top 2 ranks. USC beat Michigan in their Bowl game but COntroversial BCS ranking went off hands. So, they were forced to "Recognize" USC Trojans as the College champs of 03-04. Yes, I watched both games. ANd I totally understand what "Stirs" you guys. That is totally acceptable. Just want to let you guys know 'USC' & 'LSU' shared the National Title that year. The controversy heated up because USC was ranked #1 by AP and ESPN-USA today polls (HUman Polls), however the Computer ranking systems had very low points for USC, so when all three polls were accounted USC fell to Number 3 behind Oklahoma and LSU. But then, AP polls writers who voted for USC to be #1, had the opporunity to vote USC (by virute of USC beating Michigan in Rose BOWL) as the National champion team and they just did that. However, the COACHES were contractually Bounded to Vote for the Sugar Bowl Winner (LSU). Yet 3 coaches violated the rules and voted for USC. That was another controversy. That way LSU tigers got their share of National Championship title. NEver before had 3 BCS series teams gone undefeated. But LSU-OU-USC all went undefeated that season. And as well all Know, the BCS had been criticized sharply every now and then. They had modified the Ranking systems. Computer rankings don't account for that big part of the rankings anymore. That was a year of Controversy. And, I always had this question "IF MICHIGAN Wolverines had beaten USC Trojans in the Rose Bowl, would ANyone have questioned about MICHIGan being the NATIonal Champion as well?" I never heard anyone bringing that thoughts out. How about it will the history BOOk mention Michigan as the team that played for National Title (their opponent USC surely did)? I hope I did my best to clarify the Mess. If somone else has better explanation then please come up with it. Thanks for your time guys. GO Sooners-longhorns/Big 12 Jai Nepal proudnepali PS: I didn't mention USC going for 3peat because I lacked any knowledge of BCS history, I mentioned it because I believe I understand what came after all the controversies. Now, I hope people understand what I am trying to say here. English is confusing sometimes.
