Atleast, King is going around the country trying to understand them. He is atleast trying. About wanting democracy like in America- Perhaps in about a 100 years we will get there. Like Monarchy, democracy will still not be a perfect system even then. Nothing is perfect. No system will ever be so perfect for Nepal to try to emulate the system of another country with different circumstances, geo-political status with different history . Like Hukka said, we are different, our history is different and Nepal is fully capable of resolving its internal crisis. Lets not forget our pride.
