I paid $1650 and that was because my dates were fixed and not flexible and it was in the mid of summer, the busiest time of the year. Other airlines were either charging me more for the dates I was planning to fly or were simply unable to find any tickets at the dates. If you are flying at the end of Sept or Oct, the tickets should be cheaper. But do not expect to get them for very cheap since the gas prices are so costly. And do keep in mind that if you fly via London, or Hongkong, you would need a transit visa. But there are other options like via Taiwan.
