Ohhhh so many prying eyes sis, as far as i know, there are various customs throughout nepal and india. in india, they call it "karwa chauth". she fasts the whole day and at the evening looks at the moon, then the first person she looks is her man--typical of so many hindi movies. in nepal, in my area, the married ones go to their "maaiti" while the unmarried ones either remain at their own home or go to their "maawali" so if you find nowhere to go, you can come to mine considering "maaiti" or "maawali", whichever applicable.
