He didn't know a thing about full scale war. He could have won several times over, especially near the end of the war, when Germany had jet engines in some of their planes, while Allied forces were still usining propellers. Of course, being the tactician he is, he opted for more V2's, which were summarily bombed from above when the Luftwaffe couldn't hold off England's hit and run air tactics. Then, there's the aforementioned war on two fronts. Hitler had a bad habit of micro managing the war, ignoring his generals advice time and again. Then of course, having them executed. Good Job. I've often wondered...what if Hitler had, after taking France and northern Africa, simply halted aggression for a year or two. Sued for peace, then regrouped, and solidified his present land holdings. Then in that time off, developed the rocket planes and missles and the atomic bomb research that were under development at the time. It might have delayed American involvment for a bit. He could have taken at least Europe and most of Africa, if he?d have known what he was doing.I've always been under the impression that the German tanks were the "best" in the war. Same for German subs and airplanes. Hitler's mistake with Russia was that he attacked. That's it. The moron should have kept his word with Stalin. War with Russia would have been almost inevitable down the road, but Hitler could have kept things calm in the East while he sorted out his Western troubles. Anyways...calm down again. :D
