Maoist won battle in western district Kalikot: 40 security men killed in Kalikot clash, over 70 still missing (5:35 P.M.) Latest reports say bodies of 40 security personnel killed in an overnight clash in mid-western Kalikot district on Sunday have been recovered. Confirming the reports, sources at the Royal Nepalese Army (RNA) headquarters in Kathmandu said 10 security personnel were summarily executed by the Maoists after taking them under control. The militants barbarically mutilated the dodies of some of the security men, they said. Meanwhile, 111 security troops have come into contact until Tuesday afternoon while over 70 troops are still missing.
