A high school drop-out, obviously never went to college, yet went on to become an incredibly learned and knowledgeable man. His style -- his charisma and his eloquence -- coupled with vast wealth of knowledge on other cultures he acquired through his travels around the world made him an icon in American news telecast. He is one of the finest role models that I will dearly miss.
