From my understanding, Nepal was not directly rules by any foreign power, but she definitely was under the influence of British. Nepal was a satellite state for British. So if being a satellite state means being ruled by a foreign power or not is up to your judgement; as for me it was ruled by British. And not to forget the war between Nepal and Tibet which Nepal lost and had to pay tax to Tibet for quite a few years. What would that mean?
