That is a basic human nature. People have and always will play power to control... but to what extent and to what cost? Look around the world..past and present. Can you imagine Sadam Hussein or some lunatic Ruler having the the power and the capability United States has. Look what Hitler did. See, it is not an easy task to police the world. You are always going to make someone or some countries unhappy and everything has a cost. I am not saying that US has always had the magic bullet to implement the best policies, but at the same time there are tons of proof of notable humanitarian efforts, financial aid and discouragement of ruthless leadership around the globe on America's part. Freedom kicks ass and does come with the cost.
