There are so many languages in the world, and they are very beautiful to communicate our feelings, reality, thoughts, movements, and so forth. However language, probably may not able to describe what is self-realization, but I will try. Self Realization is an experiencing truth about the self. What is my true nature, purpose, etc? What is my nature in relation to the whole. My body is a mechanical if not realized, enforced by the powers to be in the society going after what the soceity wants it after. Thus, a person learns to identify - my address, my car, my name, my body, his name, a bird, a tree, a highway, a shop, a school, education, degree, money, career etc. These are all good for practical purpose to survive and live life in a conditional happiness. To live life to the fullest, to our fullest potential; self-realization is a prerequisite, a foundation before a house of prosperity, love, unconditional happiness can be attained. These are theory coming from my experience, but just a theory no more which you can get it from any spiritual text. To realize, you must experience what it means while you are meditating or from some extraordinary event or grief or happiness in your life. It is an experience of seeing the truth about the self! Unless, you meditate you would have to have extraordinary event or extreme pain or grief or exterme joy in your life for you to experience this phenomenon. Alright, Cryptonite. ;)
