The idea "changing name" is a clear example of byproduct of
capitalism. In capitalism, we think everything can be transferred
or weighed interms of money. Well, I am not related to GBNC
not at all... but had seen its name almost the same time period
as internet.. since 1990s. GBNC want to forget its achievements
under its logo.... but want to follow "change name" or announce
bankruptcy as many american companies do.......... to avoid
extra tax................... I used to consider GBNC a model
Nepali organization, which I used to think as better than ANA
or other Washington based organizations run by some closed
circle of some LOVI / Chhucha mancheharu, who don't let the
organization go beyond their own circle. At least GBNC, was not
like that, its my observation and guess. I might be wrong, the
members might have different views.
Now, changing name is legal. Starting it from scratch is not
bad idea either. But, sidelining "ethics", "moral" and glorified
history under the GBNC banner, and changing name to get
TAX cut, is dead wrong for a man like me who does not buy
capitalism concept in wholesale market. Anway, GBNC officers
can follow the capitalism, weigh everything as money, and
what not.
Good Luck.
