precisely said, lovaboy. arranged marriages, it is understandable, because for the most part and the majority population, what is looked for in a guy/girl is basic materialistic qualities than ideological similarities. two different people, world apart in their personalities and ideologies, living together for a common cause- it could crumble down. but i have seen love marriages fail, and i don't know why. but it definitely is a bold step on the part of Nepali women to stand up to their freedom and personal choice if things were starting to get painful. "There are a lot of loopholes in the divorce laws of Nepal that are in favour of men, which makes it more difficult for women to come forward.." there are many other loopholes in Nepalese law that are biased towards women, which need to be corrected. but the country is stagnated as of now, so i don't know if there will be any changes at all.
