I think we have mistreated Paramendra. Paramendra cares a lot about Nepal, but because he had been treated badly at school probably, he now makes it a point not to bow in front of those who want to continue to treat him like that. I read his views, very good. I respect his views and love for Nepal and India. Because India is our big neighbour and a friend who often puts its uncomfy nose into our affairs, I think our constitution does need to take India into account, directly or indirectly (it's embarassing to us all we have to run to Delhi every time a big decision has to be made). Our constitution should be written and supervised by those who are loyal to Nepal and consider Nepal as thier only subject, though. Period. Foreign advisors and well-wishers of Nepal may be allowed to play a part in the drafting, though, with veto power residing in Nepalese to amend the draft if necessary. If nobody is sure, a referendum to choose leaders who will write it might be a good idea. This way our madhesi and other compatriots will not be left out. While we need to safeguard our interests vis-a-vis India, it does not mean we should not collaborate with India in many many development projects beneficial to both of the countries. There is a good opportunity in the horizon for the unified economic zone involving India, Pakistan, Bangladesh, Nepal, Sri LAnka etc.
