Folks! One of the reasons why ANS/CA has not been successful is the lack of leadership role and dedication in the association, in addition to the ?Monday Morning Quarterback? attitude from the general Nepali population (members and non-members) here in SoCal. In the past few years, there has been lots of discussions, arguments and debates between members and Excom/Board of Directors and many changes has have been revised in the by-laws to make ANS/CA work more efficiently. In my opinion, this has been a positive move for ANS/CA, as more and more members became aware of the workings of the society and many hidden questions were answered. Finally after 2 years of ?war-action?, a real election was held a few months ago. Frankly it was not the usual ?smooth? election/potluck gathering. Many more questions were raised. Many loud voices filled the room. But in the end, the election was over, 4 out of 5 officers were elected. (The President?s position is still open). And, it appeared everyone was quite ?satisfied?. It takes time for things to change; especially things that have remained unchanged for a long period of time. ANS/CA seems to be changing (for better of course) and all those SoCal Nepalis reading this thread; don?t give up man?ANS/CA is here to stay and let?s work together to make things happen! BTW, for one time sake, let?s stop thinking negative and stop complaining (or BITC#!*@) DrD
