Yeh, people should understand that marriage automatically endorses the bride as a member of the family. A member who is as important as any other members of that family- either it be the father, mother, brother or sister of the groom. In Nepal, newly wed bride is seldom regarded as an equally important member of the family and seldom given to let her realize that the new home and family is her own immidiately after she enters the new home. But things are improving for brides these days, although not as quickly as they should have been.
