Interesting article, though I could do without the cliche slang in Rekha Shrestha's writing. How to these special forces (SF) coordinate with regular RNA operations? Are there any plans to scale up the recruitment and training of these kinds of units? What kind of budget do they get for local development projects, if any? Are their operations part of an overall strategy to end the insurgency, or do they just operate off "actionable" intelligence reports? Also, how do local people in the areas these SF operate view them, particularly in comparison to regular RNA and paramilitary police?
