BATMAN BEGINS

So, The Batman Begins. Yup, from the beginning. eh. I grew up reading comics, including Batman, and I still remember one of my friends tellin' me "Do you know Batman's got jet's engine in his car?" and "Do you know he's got the bulletproof suit?", I knew that, but I didn't know how he got those equipments he used, the story behind his bulletproof bat-suit, his batcave, his life, his fear -- most importantly, I didn't know how he became so strong and how he became Batman in the first place. The movie is answer to most of the myths surrounding the Cave Crusader. The movie is more realistic and they stick to the old Batman costumes, so those who want the glamorous Batman with nipples (Batman and Robin) or dark modern belts and gadgets, have to go back and watch his old movies. eh. He is wearing self-painted batsuit, they even show him makin' his own batarang. ha. True Frank Miller's version... The best thing about the movie is, they are back to the old style of movie making and didn't rely much on Computer Graphics... ah... like the Terminator 3 (T3)'s construction truck chase sequence which was done without any use of computer graphics and which alone cost them 40 million, Batman hardly uses computer graphics, esp. when it comes to the actions. And the background music, wowoow, never heard anything like that. There is continious 1 hour of background music that never pauses. It almost seems like the music was created first and the scenes were patched in it, like the way they do in the music video. The music never stops for more than an hour, not even in a dialogue, it just changes its style, tempo. wow, no wonder, they needed two great composers to create the background... Hans Zimmer and James Newton Howard. ah.
