Nice to see a guy from Kavre topped....... I always like to see more students doing well from other than big schools of Kathmandu, Lalitpur......But disappointing aspect is percentage of successful students........what about 132556 people who failed. This is the crutial period of life and majority stay home doing nothing and wasting precious time of life which motivate people to involve even in Maobadi and other illigal works. KOL Report KATHMANDU, June 14 - Office of the Controller of Examinations Sano Thimi Monday night published the results of School Leaving Certificate 2061. Among boys, Sameer Shrestha of Kavre Secondary School in Banepa topped this year?s SLC securing 91.37 percent while Shuva Acharya of Galaxy Public School in Kathmandu came first among girls scoring 90 percent. A total of 216,303 regular students had appeared in this years SLC exam ? considered iron-gate of the school life, out of which 83,747 passed out. This includes 1856 in distinction, 31,029 in first division, 45,888 in second division and 4974 in the third division. This year passed out result stood at 38.72, a decline of about eight percent than the previous year. Last year, total passed percentage stood at 46.18 percent. The exams were held from March 27 to April 5. Similarly, out of 57,860 exempted students that appeared in this years SLC exam, 8.86 percent has passed out.
