Two possibilities 1. He was not corrupt at all and could not tolerate the charges. If its true, too sad for the untimely and demise of an engineer. 2. He was corrupt (everybody is corrupt with certain degree) indeed and could not face the charges with dignity. If it's true, good for him and the society.
