paagal, i hear what you are saying. there is tremendous joy in giving unconditional love. it's not only nepal that lacks love and compassion though. the whole world is bereft of love and compassion. it is a sad state of affairs indeed. and ego is certainly partly to blame. we are all here to stoke our egos. we all want to be loved and appreciated, but we have been conditioned by our materialistic and power-hungry society into believing that the acquisition of money and fame will bring us acceptance and appreciation, and ultimately happiness. how deluded we all are. we are all stoking our egos. and althoug some of us realize that there is some truth to what i am saying, few really have the conviction and courage to really follow their heart and give unconditionally. i bow my head in respect to the courageous souls such as mother teresa, albert schweitzer and hellen keller.
