Sorry for the long link, but you might find this Washington Post article by Vijay Joshi interesting. It briefly summarizes Amnesty International's annual assessment report on abuse of women in Asia. Note that Nepal is mentioned THREE times, China is barely mentioned, and India is also barely mentioned. Joshi makes it sound like India's biggest problem in this area is failure to have the proper paperwork completed on time. Is this dude Joshi a Nepali? Also, on a tangential note, I find it odd that AI's annual assessment would fail to mention ALL Asian countries.
