Three guys went to a restaurant and ordered lunch. The check came up to $30 and each paid $10. Then the manager found out that there was a mistake in billing. the check was only for $25. So the manager gave $5 to the bell boy and asked him to return to the guys. The bell boy pocketed $2 from the $5 and gave $3 to the guys and they took $1 each. But the problem is: It looks like each one of them got $1 back and so paid $9 for the meal. If we total this it amounts to $27 ($9*3) and the bell boy kept $2 and this totals to $29, where is the remaining $1? I have heard this before in Nepal but someone please help solve this....it is eating my head for a long time. thanks
