Students were shot at, in custody: Report KOL Report KATHMANDU, May 10 - The security forces opened fire at three student leaders of Mahendra Nagar based Janjyoti campus, after taking them under custody, said a report unveiled by human rights organization in Kathmandu Monday. The report said the three student leaders were seriously injured in the shootout incident, due to irresponsible command of the troop?s commander. The students were engaged in a peaceful program within the campus premises, but the commander ordered to fire at the students, without assessing the situation there, said the report. On April 29, the security forces had intervened a program organized by All Nepal Independent Students Union at Janjyoti campus and opened fire at some students injuring its central leaders, Nar Bahadur Dhami, Mahesh Pant and Kiran Chhetri, while Bachan Bahadur Chand was severely beat up after taking him under custody, said the report.
