I never paid attention to Sa re ga ma pa da re sa ( i should have!) thing but it seems it is the major scale in itself. [I am not quite sure but it doesnt matter anyway] So when i say sing with the scale as shown in the above website, try to blend your (or your daughter's voice) with the sound produced and that is one of the best music exercises. i hope i havent flooded you with overload of information.
