Hotstuff Sir: You have posted all his threads and responses to other threats. But you are missing his some of the threads (unfortunately I cannot find them now on sajha) in which he points out about the post Mogul Nepal. One of the most popular periods Pali, Lischivi, and Malla period. Also because of the existence of these period's developments in art, literature, philosophy (Buddha?s), religions etc we had the privilege to become the member of UN. According to STANDFORYOURRITHS that the migration from India after the Mogul period - mostly of Indian higher caste group like Brahmins and Thakuris or rulers destroyed the essence of the Nepal with Hindu style rules and caste system imposed on original group of Nepali people such as Newara, Rai, Limbu, Tamang, Magar, Tharus, and Kash (a western Nepal farming group belong to the Cocas ion migration through Kashmir and Central Asia ). All these original people were put on the Baisaya caste after Mugal period. It is historically true that during Malla and Lischivi period there were no caste system in Nepal. The occupation by Hindu migration after Mugal period, have drastically changed with the rulers tactics and Brahmins religious practice. The Hindu religion in Nepal is more based on sacrifice and worships, not in inquiry and wisdom like in Gita, Vedas, Upanisada or six schools of thoughts or Buddhism. This points of STANDFORYOURRIGHTS has a lot of facts and reflects reality. For example, Sukraraj Shastri one of the martyrs of Democracy was put to death by Rana regime was based on the fact that he was spreading the study of Gita in the light of Democracy. Gita was forbidden by the propaganda that "If you read Gita you become MAD". Because Gita speaks of the fundamental freedom "Mokshaya" from all ignorance. The style of Shah or other rules after Mugal period and of Rana oligarchy was to put Nepali people in fear with superstitions and belief. This was the strategies that rules had compromised with the learned Brahmins of Nepal - the higher caste Brahmins. You know among Brahmins there are upper and lower castes in Nepal - Purbiya, Kumau, Jaisi. Upper class do not work on the farms; rather do not plough the land. Only Jaisi do among Brahmins. Same Thakuri do not plough the lands. Now you can see the picture of Nepal and how we were made "Gorkhali" in the word of STANDFORYOURRIGHTS. STANDFORRIGHTS says if you are not aware of this process which is embedded within the psyche of Nepali people for last five centuries after acquiring some education in this 21st century then you are the slave of "GORKHALINESS". It is saying in the society of Kash mostly in the Himalayan foot hills of Western Nepal that "Gorkhali ko bani lauro hali jeuri garnaya". Meaning Gorkhali causes trouble for nothing. Gorkhali here means the rulers like Rana and Shah and their police, army and civil servents. You can still find this concept in Jumla, Humla, Bajura, Bajhang and Mugu. The Gorkhali, I am not sure STANDFORYOURRIGHTS does not mean to the fame and name of Gorkha regiments of Britain and India. As a matter of fact the essence of Nepal after Mogul period with the invasions of Hindus upper castes from India destroyed. For example, all the original Nepali like Kash, Newar, Magar, Tamang, Rai, Limbu etc were put to the lower caste that will do the farming and rest of the work. In my opinion for this difference to irradiate you do not the revolution of Maoists. Perhaps the Maoists do not address this honestly. Otherwise they could not have committed human rights abuse. We Nepali had our fundamental rights before the Upper caste Hindus from India. Once the rulers like Shah and Rana took over Nepal we lost our fundamental rights. That has been our struggle for last 60 years. Among these rules we had only two Democratic kings - Tribhuvan and Birendra. Rest of them then and now do not want Nepali people have their fundamental rights and institutions of Democracy. Therefore those who see the difference and stand for their rights according to STANDFORYOURRIGHTS are true Nepali and deserve respects. Rests are confused and frightened to see the light that can show the difference. Sorry HOTSTUFF Sir if I make you feel no good with my comments. But I think the approach and language of STANDFORYOURRIGHTS are rude and impolite. I think sajha should prevent such language or prevent such participants from thread. However sometimes we can learn from bitter expression also. If not other but I do.
